Sony will be releasing this baby in November in Japan for $100.

It seems its basically being hawked as a streaming device for Netflix, Hulu, and everything else, but it also features a PS Vita card slot, and will be compatible with the PS4 for Remote Play.

You'll use a Dualshock 3 controller to play the games, which means unfortunately, any game using the touch screen controls will not be compatible. However, all digital PSP, PS1, and PC Engine games will be compatible.

This is kind of comical, because a few days ago I was speaking with Einar about Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and I said I'd love to see an HD version because playing it on the PSP was uncomfortable and would love to play it with a controller. Only shame is, BBS isn't available digitally! Drats!

But if this hits America. . .I'll have to strongly consider it. I would love to have this. Its just a shame that some games won't be compatible, so I'll have to do some research to see if the games I wanna play the most won't be available. I know Uncharted is probably out, but quite frankly, I can live with that.

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.
Huh, interesting...if I could afford it, it would be kinda tempting for the PS1 and PSP games. Though there aren't a lot of PSP games that are available for download right?

I'd say easily that the majority of the best PSP games are available for download.

Square Enix was kind of wishy washy with their support, Kingdom Hearts isn't available, but most of their Final Fantasy stuff is.

All the Metal Gear Solids (at least the good ones) are available and so are a lot of the niche RPGs that the PSP is so famous for.

Capcom has Maverick Hunter up for sale (was recently given away for free via PS+).

The selection isn't perfect, but there's definitely a lot to choose from. My best advice would be to look into games you're interested in on the system and then search for them on Sony's store via web browser.

They're also dirt cheap, just saw Valkyria Chronicles II for only $10. What a steal!

Ah, okay, thanks. I don't really keep up with PSN stuff, and I thought there might not have been a lot of digital PSP games since the Go flopped.

I'm fairly certain that there were plenty of digital titles before the Go was even a thing (like the MGS's and what not) but yeah, the Go flopping didn't help older games get digital at all.

The PS Vita being backwards compatible digitally only probably helped though, with the new releases at least.
