Yes Capcom announced last night Resident Evil: Revelations 2: Capcom Hates Money. I recently finished the DS version of the first game, bought it at launch, got stuck recently got through it. That said. Its coming to EVERYTHING except 3DS and Wii U. Which is why I am affectionately calling it "Capcom Hates Money" The 3DS version made money, outsold all the consoles. What the hell capcom?! I guess Nintendo systems are only good for releasing your good games from 20 years ago. I am so ready to just write off capcom! |

Looks like Capcom's abandoning Nintendo. At least as far as RE is concerned. They aren't even releasing their REmake remake on the Wii U. Can't even get the old games no more. |

From what I've read, the game won't feature any of the usual protagonists, which makes me wonder. Why name it Revelations 2? Unless it features BSAA members we saw in the first game, or the terrorist organization it just seems weird to make it a sequel and not have it on Nintendo 3DS. I know its normal for games to receive sequels on newer hardware, but the 3DS version did well. Why not make a legit Revelations 2 on 3DS and just make this its own thing on the other consoles? |

Some information has been trickling out. The main characters are Claire and Moira. Moira is the now grown up daughter of Barry Burton. The game takes place on a desolate prison against new enemies called "the afflicted" and is set between the events of 5 and 6. |

Oh man, Claire's back with a chance of Barry? Sign me up. I still have to play 6, but I don't have a PS3 or 360. Oh well. |

Man, why tease us? Why not just give us Sir Barry? This game will only work if Sir Barry saves the day by rescuing the girls via helicopter right before the island blows up, and perhaps tosses his Handcannon to them during the final battle (the last boss's only weakness of course). But the game has my interest, I'd like to see where this goes. This isn't the first time Claire has been trapped on a prison island. I wonder if its only a coincidence? |

I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.

Not being able to play as Barry is the biggest reason I'm sad Capcom never brought the RE5 DLC to PC... |

So it turns out the game will be episodic like a TellTale game. The game is split up into four episodes priced at $5.99 each, with the complete bundle being $24.99. I'm pretty okay with that if each episode feels "complete" like an episode of The Walking Dead or The Wolf Among Us. If you did the math, its actually more expensive (by a dollar and some change only) to buy the complete bundle, but apparently it'll contain extra features not found in the individual episodes. No details on what they are yet. Probably just costumes 'n guns though. Edited by Hyper Metal Sonic, Sep 10 2014, 11:05 AM.

TGS Interview reveals some nice tidbits. The game will be about 8 hours long after all is said and done (about 2 or more hours per episode). Moira has a very colorful vocabulary, and they are intentionally making references to Code Veronica (Perhaps Steve will return?) And instead of releasing an episode every couple of months like a TellTale game, the four episodes will be released over a four week period. Which is pretty cool, and interesting, it really gives it that weekly TV show feel. But at the same time, now the game has to be done all at once, so it doesn't allow for fan feedback in between episodes (not that there's much you can do in a matter of two months, but still). |
