IGN's Launch Center

As if OoT, a new Kid Icarus, and Star Fox 64 weren't enough. There's Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, Kirby, Street Fighter, Dead or Alive, Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, DJ Hero, The Sims, and SPLINTER CELL CHAOS THEORY all in 3D? And all before we even know the release date?

Not to mention I'll be able to watch 3D movies on it?

Yeah. I'd say I'm sold.

I'm really just wondering how the 3D will look on it.

All the gaming sites who have gone hands on with it have been saying it looks really good and works really well with the games.

PLUS if it ain't yo thang you can slide the 3D-ness ANDDD they added a track pad thingy. I almost hope TF2 PS3 doesn't get updates so I can waste my money on this instead. :jnal:

Wait, are those all remakes? Except for Kid Icarus, I mean. I wonder if it'll look as good as the PSP does ingame.

The only ones I know are remakes are OoT, Star Fox, SSF4, and Splinter Cell. And even then I imagine they're changing quite a bit.

I'd say all the screenshots definitely put it on par with PSP. Some of the games (like Kid Icarus) look more like PS2 or maybe even Wii level.

This is still early on too. I doubt they've come close to its potential at this point.

PS2 level. So it's exactly like a PSP.

PSP isn't quite as powerful as the PS2 was.

Looked pretty damn nice. Too bad I'm not 10 years old where my mom can buy me a handheld for Christmas.

I want to wait and see how much of a gimmick the 3D is. The touch screen was almost never used very interestingly and generally just became a fancy menu. It's hard to though, now that I know the games they're making for it. If these are all launch titles I'm not going to be able to stop myself.

I don't really think it's the type of 3D you can turn into a gimmick (though I'm sure some companies will figure out a way). From what I'm reading I think it's just meant to add some depth perception and better distinguish between background and foreground objects.
