It wasn't that hard, Legendary or no.  Unless you start toggling the skulls to be a dick, which I did (everyone loves invisibility, right?).  Halo 3 as a whole was much easier than the last two, if only because it didn't automatically game over you if one person died on Legendary.  That was made a skull.

I'm not complaining about the difficulty. I'm complaining about the horrible level design that made it almost impossible to figure out which way you were supposed to go next, along with the fact that the Flood aren't fun to fight in the least bit, and made even less so in Halo 3 by giving them weapons for no reason other than to make them even more annoying.

It was just all around an awful level and the people who designed it should have been fired.

What, you got lost? Didn't seem that hard to find your way to me. It was a really shitty level, I grant you. The Flood seem to have that effect, and it wasn't pleasant to look at, unlike most of Halo. That's one thing Halo usually has going for it; an interesting locale.

it's best solo the first time. but coop is very very fun in halo games.

Shit is too hard and it takes forever. How does coop work? If I die, do I get to respawn as long as I have teammates alive? Or if one person dies, does everybody have to start at the last checkpoint?

Also, can I get into matchmaking for coop campaign. I think Ima need some help for this one.

Probably works the same as the others on Heroic or below. You die, you respawn when you have a team mate out of combat for X seconds. On Legendary, if it's like Halo 3 than the instant "fuck you" is relegated to an option that can be toggled and not a part of the difficulty itself.

I don't see how anyone could recommend playing a Halo game alone over co-op. Co-op is the best thing about those games.

In that case, it seems like coop is a must. I've never played coop in a Halo game, when I played three, I played solo. Since there's four player coop, I need to get in a full room, or at least have one other person there.

Playing Legendary solo takes forever because you can't die, so you have to constantly take cover and let your shield re-gen. It seems like Legendary is the only way the game is fun. I haven't tried Heroic on Reach, but it seems like anything besides Legendary isn't hard enough.

Well, if you're playing coop then yeah, Legendary is probably the only way to even have a challenge. I'm just saying it's more fun to do with other people, difficulty aside.

And Ben, cheevos are no valid reason to me. I pray at a different altar now.

Also, just finished the single-player campaign in Reach. While overall I enjoyed it, I was a bit let down by the tenth mission. It wasn't really all that epic, and there were no awesome vehicle segments or anything to really liven it up compared to the several levels prior to it.

The stuff after the credits was cool, though.

Oh, and where exactly was the first mission? By my count, the first mission was credited as the second mission in my cheevos. Unless they counted that five minutes of walking around doing nothing at the beginning as an actual mission.

Yeah I feel the same way. The end of the last mission was really slow, and I didn't feel like it was going to be the end. But then it was. And I was sad.

* The Septagon – This option returns for anyone who links their LIVE account to their Bungie.net account.
* The DMR – A pro weapon for Pro members. Get Bungie Pro to bump up your File Share, render videos, and get this emblem. Active subscriptions bought in Halo 3 or Halo 3: ODST carry over to Halo: Reach, of course.
* Marathon – Play the full version of Marathon: Durandal on Xbox LIVE Arcade to enable the Pfhor Terminal emblem.
* Halo 1 – Enter your Halo 1 PC/Mac product key to enable this emblem. Each key can only be used once, so you’d better stop reading this and grab that key before your brother does. Since we have no way to validate who has played the Xbox version, this emblem is reserved for that dedicated community of computer gamers, with over 50k unique users still active each month, 7 years after release. Thanks for sticking with us. It’s been quite a ride!
* Halo 2 – Automatically available if you played Halo 2 for Xbox on your LIVE account before its tearful retirement. If it’s not active for you, no amount of wheedling will change that, sorry.
* Halo 3 – Take a guess… On the plus side, there’s plenty of time to head to your local purveyor of fine, shrink-wrapped games to snag a copy if you’re the one person who actually reads the news on our site and hasn’t played this game.
* Halo 3: ODST – Ditto.
* Assault Rifle – This fine armament goes to anyone who played the Halo: Reach beta a few months ago.
* Spartan Helmet – CLASSIFIED
* HALO – Like Blamite out of a Needler, these faceplate options can supercombine. Unlock the emblems for Halo 1, Halo 2, and Halo 3 to get this special emblem.
* The Star – Who knows? We haven’t come up with a use for this yet. Maybe we will in the future.

coop matchmaking is coming in october. they wanted people to have a chance to beat the game before they went into matchmaking and got things possibly spoiled for them.

I need some dedicated people to play coop with. I'm willing to start from the beginning and the difficulty has to be on Legendary. I'm hammered with test this week, but I'll still be on throughout the week and after this week, I can be on a lot.

I dont see the "Halo" or the "star"?

Spartan Helmet says this:
"Reserved for our most steadfast fans. Unlock four of the five nameplates Halo PC, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, or the Halo: Reach Beta to earn the Master Chief's MJOLNIR Mk VI helmet nameplate."

I WANT THE STAR :meh:
I don't deserve a signature...

BTW, in multiplayer or whatever, when you get those credits, what do you do with those? I know you can buy armor pieces or whatever, but do those actually help; or are they just for looks?

I really need to get into a party and actually talk to someone about this. Hungry, you're on deck.
