Well, if they did do co-op I doubt they wouldn't allow you to make a private game with people off your friends list or what have you. |

if there were co op i would just loot all the books, dump then in my house then read them later 8) also i just remembered looting owned in TES cause you could just cast those strength spells constantly, it was very rare for me not to be overencumbered |

The problem is that multi-player almost always detracts from the single-player experience. Why do you think games like Halo and Call of Duty have five to six hour campaigns? Because the developers sink all of their time into developing multi-player. Single-player is an afterthought. Granted, Bethesda would almost undoubtedly still have to focus on single-player, but any hours they dedicate to co-op development (and it would require a ton of work, especially for a developer that has never done it before) would obviously detract from single-player development unless they hire an entire new staff to work solely on the multi-player (which isn't going to happen). I'm not against co-op or multi-player, but I don't see how it has a place in the Elder Scrolls series, and I don't see how Bethesda implements it without cutting corners in other places, which is something no one wants. In a perfect world, ESV co-op would be awesome. But we don't live in a perfect world. We live in a world where potentially great single-player games are often ruined because the developers cared more about multi-player. |

Maybe if they just did a free roam mode like in RDR or GTA. I still don't see how even things like looting would work, because as is some prick could just come up from behind while you're taking some health potions off a corpse and stab you in the back of the head with their broadsword of +5 douchebaggery. It's seriously not just one or two things that would need changing for co-op to work. It's everything. They'd have to rework everything from the ground up to make it not be shitty. If they did do co-op at all it'd just be some bullshit like in Fable 2. I honestly don't see what people's problems with single player games are. Some games are just meant to be played alone. |

If anyone is going to do coop right in an RPG of this nature, it'd be Bethesda. Odds are if they did decide to add a multiplayer function to the game they'd probably hire another dev team to work along side them to fully fleshi it out. They wouldn't just jump in feet first, they'd be very thourough about it and I have no doubt it'd be excellent. That stated, I really don't care if they add it or not I'll play it either way. |

Why would they do it right? What possible reason is there to believe this? Is it their zero experience with it? I know I always ask people with no experience in an area to do the job. "Medical school? Fuck medical school, that's for pussies. You'll do just fine with my heart surgery, now get to it." Or are the fairies whispering in your ear again? You should know better than to listen to them. They lie.

yeah babs because game developers can never add new features to their games, thats why we we're all still playing pong clones bethesda is a good developer therefore they probably won't fuck up co-op if its added oh wait, I forgot you like JRPGs, of course you like the same stale gameplay over and over lofl |

Because all change is good change. Say, how are the TF2 updates going nowadays? And of course a good developer can do no wrong. You still play Modern Warfare 2, right? Yes, Penny, I see your point and am convinced. And, by the way, just because you can doesn't mean you should. The Elder Scrolls is perfectly fine as a singleplayer game. What is your sick obsession with co-op? I willingly admit that I think co-op is the best form of multiplayer, but multiplayer isn't needed in every game. |

i think it should SP also. It would expand keep then focused on what they do best. Co-op could be good but they would probably do something similar to fable 2 which i didnt like |

What the fuck? Infinity Ward isn't fit to lick my ballsweat, let alone be called a good developer, treyarch on the other hand is a good developer. They are a perfect example of changing shit in a series for the good (see: blops zombies and multiplayer/constant patching when things are too unbalanced or broken) and I already said earlier that its 99% gonna be sp only, im only defending co op because so many people seem to think theres no way it could be done good, which is wrong. also I like how you bring up the TF2 updates like they completely ruined the game, if someone just got the game today and installed it, its still perfectly fun, theres just new weapons and people are running around with shit on their head keep playing final fantasy 20 and fire emblem 9, the rest of us will enjoy games that actually change things once in a while |
