I always thought Super Mario World was the toughest of the 2D Mario games, although the original Super Mario Bros. might have been tougher. I haven't played it in so long, though, that I can't make a judgment on it.

I was playing Super Mario World during lulls at work a few weeks ago and got a bit frustrated during the second-to-last world at the very end. I finally beat the castle, then had to do that fucking Ghost Ship level and decided to take a break. I'm going to pick it back up again once I beat New Super Mario Bros., though.

But yeah, Mario 3 was pretty easy by comparison. Being able to save items and use them later was a big part of why it was so easy compared to the other games. P-Winging like a mother fucker.

Mario 3 is still my all-time favorite Mario game, and probably my second or third favorite game overall all-time (with Ocarina definitely being number one).

Aww shit, son. I just powered through that whole series last month. It's no Silent Hill, but good stuff.

Playing:

TF2
Mass Effect 2 still

Recently beaten:
Modern Warfare (little late to the party on that one)

Have and want to play:
Deus Ex
Shadow of the Colossus
Bioshock
Ass Creed series

I find it difficult to play single player games lately. It always sounds more fun to jump in a XBL Party and play TF2 or watch Netflix.

FUCK, I accidentally deleted my SotN file a little while ago. I only lost like four or five hours of gameplay (not including all of the dying and retrying :meh: ), but I'm still kind of pissed. I've got a bunch of games backlogged, so I'm thinking of playing through Alan Wake or Metal Gear or something and then coming back to it.

Does this kind of shit ever happen to anybody else? Because it seems to happen to me a lot. Do you man up and trudge through the hours of gameplay you've just completed or do you take a break from the game for a while? Usually I'll get right back into it if I didn't waste too many hours, but if it's anything RPG-y I tend to say fuck it. Time spent grinding and collecting items is just not something I want to relive right away.

Sly Cooper Collection was pretty meh, so I'm sending that shit back to Gamefly. It was probably cool back when it came out, but the controls just seem so mediocre and unresponsive by modern standards.
