I don't think that'd be true at all, at least the reasoning behind it. The method of input doesn't affect a user's gameplay unless they don't prefer it or they aren't familiar with it. If equal skilled players face each other, and used whichever they prefer, it wouldn't matter. If a whole team using 360 controllers, who were comfortable with 360 controllers, faced a whole team using mouse/keyboard, who were comfortable using mouse/keyboard, and they were equally skilled (theoretically), it would come down to who outplays who, not what input method they used. I'm not debating that a mouse isn't a more precise thumbstick, i'm just saying it's personal preference. |

I think it’s fair to say that I’m a top tier player on Xbox using a controller or at least when I was when I played regularly. When I play PC using a controller I can hold my own pretty well in pub games but compared to top tier pc players I’m garbage. M/k has an obvious advantage over a controller, there's no debating it. |

You're playing a different game. PC TF2 is different than 360 TF2, there's a huge difference. If PC TF2 top tier players came to 360 with a m/k and played you, they would lose because they play PC TF2, not 360 TF2. |

There's core similarities, but ultimately they're different games. I'll use an analogy for you. 360 TF2 is to street fighter 4 as PC TF2 is to super street fighter 4. people learned street fighter 4 (360), and played street fighter 4 (360). super street fighter 4 (PC) came out, same engine, same core gameplay, but has updates and changes. A person who's played non-super (360) is used to non super (360), and not used to/know all of the changes in the game that were added with super (PC), will ultimately lose to someone who's played super (PC) and has gotten familiar and comfortable with super (PC) This debate was had long ago by the SF community back in the 90s, and ultimately decided that both input methods were allowable, since it is personal preference, each has it's own advantage and disadvantage. Alot of people prefer sticks (mouse/keyboard) because it's what they want to use, not because it makes them better. |

Even if it is a different game im still very skilled with a controller and have been using one for years. 5 minutes after switching to a M/K having never played games using them before I was already way better than i was when i used a controller. |

Do you honestly think that, if we got Carnage on the 360 version and gave him a mouse and keyboard, he wouldn't wreck everyone's shit who got in his path? Because having played with the guy several times, I am sure he would. I think it would be much harder for a 360 player to go to the PC version than it would for a PC player to go to the 360 version, especially if both were allowed to keep their preferred input method. The 360 version is just an unpatched, vanilla version of the PC game. Anyone who has played the PC version long enough has played the 360 version as well, just not in a couple of years. I'm guessing it would take a PC pro all of five to ten minutes to get used to the differences before they proceeded to destroy everyone. |

He probably would, because he's great at the game, and probably nobody on the 360 can match his skill. Again, this isn't the point i'm making. My point is, flat out: input methods are personal fucking preference, and doesn't have anything to do with skill. You're a fucking moron if you think it does. |

multiple examples halo 3 mlg some people play default some people play bumper jumper some people play southpaw some people play inverted some people play 10 sensitivity yet nobody yells "FUCKING BUMPER JUMPER SCRUB" or "god damn inverted sucks", because it's changable, and again personal preference it may be better to you, but that's your choice. controller for TF2 is just better for me, I can't play half the classes on m/k. does that make me bad? no am i bad? yes, but that's not because I use a controller. |

wow you're dumb. obviously you're going to prefer to play with what your used to. but after using m/k long enough to get used to it and get over the discomfort it is a lot easier to be better at. its common knowledge.

I'm used to mouse and keyboard already, I just don't like it for tf2. It doesn't feel right. Controller feels 100x better, and I do alot better with a controller in pc tf2. I use mouse/keyboard for other games, but tf2 (for me) doesn't feel right on mouse/keyboard. Again, personal preference. Whining about input method is still fucking dumb. No matter how much you think it affects skill, it really doesn't. |
