I'm starting to not like video games anymore. Don't know why, but I just don't find it fun unless I'm playing with people I know IRL. I'll get on and play for 20 minutes, and that's it. Anyone else ever get bored with games and come back to them? Cause right now my disk drive is going, and I'm not sure if I should even bother buying a new one. |

I'm hitting that wall myself. It just feels useless, like i'm wasting time. Then I remember I have nothing better to do and go play gagems. |

It's becoming a boring waste of time was my point. It was always pointless to me. |

i feel ya brother, ive been there for quite some time now probably 2 years. i really only get enjoyment out of good plot and characters any more, multiplayer is 0 fun in any game now and co-op is only fun with a select group of people and its not fun because of the game its fun because of the people. |

running theories: 1. your body is desperately asking you to be more active 2. games are just plain shit these days 3. playing with friends will always be vastly better, do it too much and you'll sour your other experiences i suppose 4. you've gotten too old |

Same man. I think it has to do with the fact that there are no games worth playing right now. But I agree, I pretty much cleared everybody off my ya boy hollywud account, except for people that I know in real life. I still get on that account from time-to-time and play. The only person that I play with from TF2 is Snyder... literally. |

You're probably just burnt out and need a break. Or, like Revan said, you're too used to multi-player. I felt this way bigtime a few months ago. I played online multi-player games almost exclusively for years and basically spoiled myself. It's infinitely more satisfying to strategize with and against real, live people compared to even the most well-crafted A.I. When I started getting bored with TF2 and began to gravitate back towards single player games I found that they felt completely hollow and pointless, like something vital was missing. I didn't like this. I still wanted to enjoy solo gaming, so I denied these feelings, picked up a bunch of old, well-received titles that I had never gotten around to playing (mostly Dragon Quest, Metal Gear, and Castlevania games) and forced myself to power through them. It felt like a chore for a bit, but I learned to enjoy it all again. The "magic" has definitely faded, however, which is something you can't really avoid IMO. I don't think I'll ever enjoy games in general quite as much as I once did. It takes something really special to keep me interested these days. |
