Hiya BlackRabbit!

Speaking of Napoleonic novels, have you read any of the Hornblower series by C.S. Forester?

I was just going to mention those! :nerd: I am about to start the first one sometime soon. While it's told from a Brit's perspective, I am sure it's not too anti-French. I think I'll enjoy it. :napln: If you have read them BR, could you tell me if they are any good?

Anyone read "On Strange Tides" by Tim Powers? Very good Pirate book, Makes you feel like you actually there in the port. Real good, Haven't finished it yet, It gets a bit "Magical" towards the middle, With Witchdoctors and Fountain of Youth.

Hmmnn...That sounds a little bit like the up-coming Pirates of the Carribean 4's plot! (:0 It's called "Pirates of the Carribean 4: On Stranger Tides!" 8[ And it supposedly revolves around the Fountain of Youth!

It is actually what the Movie is based on. However in the book the man charecther is called John Chandagnac and his replaced by Jack. Also in the book is Blackbeard who is also in the movie.

Blackbeard was taught by a witch doctor when he was a child, Blackbeard has a trapped soul in him which is why they go to the fountain. John gets forced to join this Pirates crew, who is meeting up with Blackbeard after he held up Charlestown. Good story!
