Hi Ollie, it's incredible the amount of folks who would totally dispute the fact that a fox would attack anything, never mind a dog. Years ago when I lived in London I was at home one afternoon when I heard my cat scream from the garden, looked out the window and saw him fighting off a fox. 5 minutes before the cat had been fast asleep in the exact same spot. It got to the point that I was taking the cat to the Vets about once a month to be stitched up from bite wounds - it had to be the fox - bite mark too big for a cat and there was only one dog who lived in the surrounding garden and the bite marks were too small for it to have been him. I got in contact with Urban Fox Rescue who told me I was completely mistaken, Foxes never behave in this manner! Had to hire a trap, bait it with rotting meat on a daily basis for a week, caught it and it was taken away to the countryside. An urban fox let loose in the middest of the country - I wonder how long it survived. - madness. |
