Laura check out the groomers in your area - quite often they run training on the premises (not particularly cheaply either) but it's a good way of getting your hands on a lot of different dogs and building your confidence up. Alternatively check out City & Guilds courses on the net. Equipment will set you back a fair amount - basics would be grooming table, arm or H frame, good scissors/thinners, 2 pairs good clippers (need two because they get hot very quickly!) full set of blades(just that alone isn't going to leave you much change from £1,000) before you even get to the brushes/combs end of it. I've thought about it a couple of times. |
