Newbie Posts: 6 Group: Members Member #774 Joined: January 28, 2009	Hello - I'll start by thanking one of your members who brought this fab site to my attention. I have two dogs ...... Barney is a JRT cross (we think) who we got eight years ago from a rescue in Newcastle ...... he had been found by the dog warden wandering round Newcastle in December almost totally bald from a flea allergy ...... poor thing ....... when we went to look around we fell in love with him even though we were looking for a bitch. He was very nervous when we first got him, he did lots of belly walking etc but he now rules the roost ...... I can't understand why he was abandoned ...... he is such a sweet dog, clean from day one and so good with my girls. Because of Barney's great nature we eventually decided to get another dog last year in the hope his nature would rub off on the pup ...... so we got another favourite breed of mine, an italian greyhound, Billy. I was worried as Barney is approximately 10 and didn't want him to suffer in anyway (although he loved my mum's ig coming to stay for holidays etc) but they get along great together.
