When my girls caught kennel cough last year I gave them benylin (not the non-drowsy) and they'd gulp it off the spoon, although of course most of it ended up in their eyes, my eyes, up the walls, on the floor...you can see where this is going, so it is advised to sringe it in :doh: :lol: I would also give them some squeezy honey to help sooth the coughs as didn't want to OD them on benylin. I have since been advised about some kennel cough nosodes which I give to them, as Kira is often at shows it is quite easily picked up as unfortunately some people feel a ribbon is far more important than theirs and other dogs health. These nosodes build up their immune system and :crossedfingers: neither of my two have had KC since that one time, despite it going around like wildfire at one point. |
