Do you find it really hard to 'shut the door' on your older dog to do things with the pup? I did when I had my first dog and got a second, but Buster was about 12 then. I couldn't bear to shut him out for any reason, so my rats never got a proper run either! When he died I started taking Fred to training, and Beauty out to her Greyhound Walks etc, and it's been easier this time around because I've never had Fred or Beauty as an 'only' dog as I did with Buster. Poor sods never got anything on their own until he died. :( Now I regularly leave one at home (or with my mum) while the other one goes out to do something - as they are so different in age/temperatment it's hard to find something they can both enjoy. Run free Buster, I still love you! x Just wondered if anyone else had gone through that? |
