Haha! Definitely! I wish I'd thought to ask for more advice when I got Meg, would have been great if I'd found this forum sooner but there you go. It's double the fun though, especially when Twig get's a bit older and calmer and Brandy realizes she can be quite fun, not just annoying! (I think Meg was about 6 months when this happened)
I had this too, Sally was (is) so clingy and sensitive, she came absolutely everywhere with me until she was a year old as I didn't work, then I only worked part time so she still got tons of time and attention. It was a big shock for her to have to share me! Thankfully Meg has never been too cuddly and is happy to spend time alone and entertain herself, very easy going. But it has definitely done Sally good, she has Meg for company so doesn't rely on me for it all the time, she also realized it was fun to do doggy things instead of being a small furry human! She's not keen on other dogs so her friendship with Meg, though not without it's squabbles  is really special. I agree with you Nic, the best way to learn is hearing about other's experiences. It's always really interesting even if the technique doesn't suit your dog or you don't have the same problem. Or am I just nosy... :D |
