As you've had experience with training the recall shouldn't be an issue, yes some do have a strong scent urge but not all. My Harvey is great at sniffing out tennis balls from a hedge (particulaly if I've forgotten to take his) but when we had a rat in the garden he was hopeless :lol: He also doesn't like to lose sight of us to the point when he was a pup we'd suddenly panick that he's ran off only to find him at our heels. I can see this little Border is going to have a great life with your family :D
