First to arrive - out of the current batch - was Flora. Flora is an American Bulldog and landed with us at 7 months old via Lizzies Barn Sanctuary. Flora has had several health issues since arriving with us 2 years ago and has just recently had a total hip replacement. Poor little lamb is now feeling a million times better but is on enforced crate rest for the next 6 weeks. She is my soulmate and I adore her  Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Until last May, Flora shared our home with my beloved big collie boy Bear. When he went to the Bridge, we were all devastated and Flora missed him terribly. Being a dominant bull breed in her prime, it was decided that the best companion for her would have to be introduced as a puppy. Within a few weeks, Fionna told me that a 12 week old chocolate labrador boy had arrived at Lizzies Barn. And so Bran arrived. He is a year old in a few weeks and I don't know where the time has gone! He is an absolute sweetheart, a very easy boy, very laid back and an utter pleasure to have in our lives  Posted Image Posted Image And then, 3 days ago, Prince Hugo arrived in our lives with all the feistiness that a terrier pup has! He was handed in to Lizzies Barn with his grandmother because his "mum" was moving into accommodation where dogs were not permitted. It was then discovered that he has major heart defects and is only expected to live another 6 months or so :( However, he doesn't know this and so we are working on cramming as much life into those 6 months as possible. Hugo is 4 months old but is the size of a 6 week old pup  Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image |
