I've always wanted a springer spaniel, but on doing some research learned they would need more exercise than I could give on my own with a full time job. I think my life now would suit one very much (both Fred and Beauty can't come on all the walks I do as it's too much for them) but still nagging at the back of my mind is 'I could never handle one' and I think perhaps that was on my mind. That a good home may get put off. Probably by the time there will be another dog-shaped hole to fill I'll have teams of dog walkers out and about and I'll be back in the office and will need a lap dog. ;) |
