Well thankfully Archie hasn't had a problem with his glands again. He has been on raw turkey with cooked turkey for treats for 5 weeks now and he still has hotspots :( He finished his course of antibiotics 4 weeks ago but has started on them again in the last week as I found more. Not sure if he has reacted to the turkey or whether there was a little bit of underlying infection left over from the chicken diet which I didn't spot and has flared up again.

The raw diet isn't suiting him particularly - he loves it - but it does cause him to drink half a bowl of water after his dinner. I don't understand that!

The vet has recommended Burns so we'll give that a go. I'm going to try the fish one - but if he is no better on that I won't really know if he is allergic to the fish or to the brown rice :err: I've got a couple of packs of turkey to finish off then will buy the Burns - stand by in another 6 weeks for an update

If he does no better on that apparently Purina does a prescription diet where the proteins have been denatured (similar to the hills one but Archie is never eating that again after what it did to his insides). Then we'll know if its a food allergy or not...
