Hi Sam
I bought a Whal set through canine capers last year - about £25 which looks similar to your first link. It has the DVD which I watched which was very informative. I was incredibly nervous doing Peggy the first time, and started with a fairly long cut, then gradually worked it shorter as I got more confident. Only got a few lines my first time, but otherwise I didnt do too badly! Had to use the scissors more than I expected, but it depends really what you are after.
Peggy ended up a no.1 all over to match her operation square :D but next time i'll keep her at around no.3 as prefer her slightly longer.
Found them very easy to use, Peggy wasnt scared, and hardest thing was keeping her in the right place - so a table arm is the next purchase!!!
If you are prepared to maybe the first time have a few wonky spots and uneven lines, then i'd go for it as it does make a huge saving. With your lot, you'd prob be a pro by the time you got to the last one!!!

I've never heard of the Coat King so would be interested to see how that works!

Lorns x
