hi all, this is my first message... need a little advise... i have 2 westies for my sins a boy and girl.
millie the girl has a problem with barking. i have taught her be quiet and is good in the house.
the problem is in the back garden. the smallest of noises and she is off barking constantly... sometimes i think she is barking for the sake of it. i dont think it can be boredom as she has ozzy the male to play with.
sometime i think it could be attention seeking as she sometimes look to see if im watching her. i have tried ignoring her barking and praising when she is quiet. ozzy couldnt be more quieter in the garden.
i am worried the neighbours are getting fed up with it... i think i would.
has anyone had this problem and can anyone offer advice???
many thanks

just a update... i have cancelled using the bark stop after watching dog listener dvd... but have recently found out the reasons for millie barking... the people who live at the back of us have been winding her up... the neighbour spotted it and we have also noticed it since. they make me mad and cant understand y as they own a dog too. :x: ... we are goin to get some bamboo fencing too make the current fencing higher so they cant look in and it will block some noise... i really hope this helps millie i hate to c her all wound up and stressed.
