Rosie has the same problem that Daisy has in that she lets out this amazing high pitched squeal when she spots any cats whilst out on walks. It is worse in the evening as there seems to be cats everywhere now that the weather has improved. She sounds as if we are trying to kill her and the number of curtain twitchers who look to see what is happening is sooo embarrasing. Even my neighbour popped her head out of the window and asked if we were all 'OK' Does anyone else have any ideas to try and stop this or are we doomed to have a keen squealing banshee on our hands. She has improved in that she no longer does this to every dog she sees. Also do any of you use a headcollar to stop pulling as she is like a little steam train even on the Stop/pull harness which has a lot of pull but no stop!!! I cant believe how strong she is for a little one and she seems to levitate over the ground

I've moved this into behaviour for you, have you tried the Gentle Leader?? They're very good.

   from Daisy to Rosie....That noise is unbelievable isn't it.Daisy's started doing it now with squirrels too and if she's on lead and Duncan goes flying off after one it sounds horrendous - as if she's being tortured,so embarassing  I've had other dog owners who don't know her giving me very strange looks.... Afraid I don't have a solution, think it's something we may have to live with.I don't use head collars either so can't comment on that.

Oh well at least I know others are in the same situation, just wondered if there was a cure obviously not. I use a gentle leader with Tim so will try this with rosie as she pulls so much she makes her chest/throat croak.
