Help Needed Please; speedy has swallowed a burr

One of the regulars Posts: 162 Group: Full Members Member #118 Joined: September 24, 2005	came back from the park and poppy was covered in sticky burrs so was brushing and combing them from her coat when speedy grabbed one and swallowed it, he has had a drink of water and a small piece of chew and has since been sick but no sign of it so do not know if it is lodged in his throat or passed further down and will come out in his poo, so any advice would be greatly appreciated Irene

Shouldn't think it will do him any harm at all but keep an eye on him just in case.It's amazing what they can swallow and have no repercussions afterwards. Have moved this to health section.

I would have thought that if it was stuck somwehere he would be distressed with his breathing. As he's been sick it might be worth a call to your vet. Does he seem happy enough in himself?
