Bodie will be at the vets this Friday morning for an op, he has had a growth on the back of one of his hind legs that we have been having treatment for but which wont go away, the vet thinks its benign (one of those growths young dogs sometimes get) I'm getting real worried as he's still a baby ( even though he's bigger than Heidi was as an adult and he weigh's 23.25kg) and the thought of him going under an anaesthetic is frightning, please keep him in your thoughts.
thanks guy's
a worried doggy mum

Oh poor Bodie :( I know exactly how your feeling, it was a frightening time when Holly had her mammary lumps removed. I'm sure he'll be fine and back to bouncing about shortly :)

Fingers crossed for him and lots of hugs being sent your way today

Hi everyone sorry for taking a while to get back to you, Bodie didnt get his op till mid afternoon and we picked him up at 5.45pm, he was sporting a lovely orange bandage on his leg which he wasnt too happy about but he was pleased to see us ( and everyone else in the waiting room lol...) He was a little subdued on the journey home but once in the house he was his old self bullie runs and all. Unfortunatly his lovely bandage didnt last too long, he managed to remove it about 2 hours after getting home, I phoned Joy ( his breeder & vet nurse) and she said as long as he left the stitches alone he would be ok with out it, so far so good, he hasnt bothered it but then again we have tried to keep his mind off it by playing with him a lot, I'm sleeping with one ear listning for him just in case he decide's to pull them out over night *sigh* if we can keep him from messing with the stitches he should do ok, we are now waiting fo the results of the test on the growth , hopefully its benine.
Thanks again everyone for the possitive thoughts, please keep them coming as he needs to heal quickly lol...

Gald to hear he's safely back home with you, watch those stitches though it's amazing how fast they can get them out......... They really do bounce back very quickly after surgery - just like the winning photo in the activity competition :D .Fingers crossed the results on the lump will be good

Well Bodie appears to be leaving his stitches alone ( for now lol..) and his leg is healing pretty quickly, he has to see the vet nurse on Friday for a check up then hopefully the stitches come out the end of next week....if his leg continues to heal at the rate it is now the stitches might get to come out sooner ( fingers crossed. )^_^
