Oh poor wee Millie - has she got hold of any bones recently? That will cause a blockage and straining too - amazing how obsessed we dog owners become with what comes out of their rear ends  Keep an eye on her,to be honest think I would get her back to the vet before Thursday if she's still struggling and vomiting.

Poor Millie hope she feels better soon. Hope she hasn't eaten something she shouldn't have and it's got stuck.

If Millie is not MUCH better by tomorrow morning, PLEASE INSIST on an x-ray and if it shows nothing INSIST on a barium meal. There is every chance she may have a blockage as those symptoms are classic. Not all objects show on x-ray, barium meal will show a clear or obstructed path throughout the digestive system and reveal what an x-ray cannot.

This is just a precaution, but in my experience and knowing Terriers, I would personally go that route. Hope she is back bouncing tomorrow.
Dawn.

Glad to hear Milly is feeling better now.As to taking the syringe does she like cream cheese or peanut butter or something soft like this? If so smear some on the syringe end - empty at first then give it with the medecine in - bribery works wonders! Have fun,you don't want to make it into a battle but they do become very cunning don't they,Daisy learnt very quickly if she spat out her pill from the treat it was hidden in she got another treat

i did that when they had medicine before sometime ago and it worked but she seems to remember it. as soon as she saw it with yogurt at the end she ran.

will try without medicine in though this evening!!!

just thought i would update you on millie..... though she seems ok in her self i havent noticed her poo since the other day.

we went back to vets and millie had the plesent finger up her bum again.

gave her more injections and more tabs and we go back sat.

i think she had had enough by the 3rd injection and kept swinging her head back and the vet (yound and new) seemed a bit scared she would bite him.

we will c if she poo's now......

Think I would now insist on more tests, does sound like a blockage and all the medication she's having must be playing havoc with her digestive system. It's not normal for this to carry on so long. Will you be seeing the same vet on Saturday - maybe someone a bit more experienced would be better. If you touch her belly how does it feel - rigid, soft, does she react when you put slight pressure on it? for you both she must be very uncomfortable.
