Flynn is such a beautiful boy and so well behaved, are you sure he's a terrier?

Thought you might be interested to see Flynn meeting his mother again. This is the Hyde's Shannon, whom we met when he gave me a demo on hand-stripping the IT coat!

And this is his newest friend, a 6 month old Fox Terrier pup. Flynn is so gentle with her, allows her to take incredible liberties! Which she does, as she is a right little handfull. Her name is Coco.

What a sweetheart he is with Coco!

Did you get any sense of recognition, even a little, between him and his mother?

I don't think he recognised her as his mother. Just thought hmmm this is interesting! Mr. Hyde kept their meeting quite short, as Shannon was in season and he didn't want any fisticuffs developing. They did seem to like each other and want to play. Jonathan also said that dogs are more likely to get a bit of attitude going just after they've been groomed! Not that Flynn did, though he obviously felt good. He was just being goofy.

Flynn's current fave walk! My hubbie flies Radio-controlled airplanes at an decommissioned RAF base at WestonZoyland ... so I have found a spot to take Flynn (away from the airplanes) where he can chase bunnies to his hearts delight! Luckily, he is happy just to have a dash at them, then comes back to find where I am, I don't have to draw him out of burrows by his tail!

The base was closed in 1958. Nature is slowly reclaiming her own!

Find the bunny!

Only took Harvey there once, took him a good 20 minutes to spot the bunnies, but once he did he was off :o one of those hearts in your mouth moments. Consequently we haven't been back  Is a great place though, good for bird watchers too :D

A couple of photos of Flynn's adoptive sister. Cali cat is 13 and has sniffed noses with Flynn, but still is understandably cautious of his rambunctiousness!

And two of the three Cinnamon Trust Dogs I walked before Flynn. This is Carrie, her mum was waiting on a hip op, and now can walk Carrie on her own!

And this is Susie, who I fostered for over 2 years, as her Dad died and her mum has MS and is in a wheelchair. RIP Susie! She died a year ago Feb of a gut obstruction from a corncob she swallowed whole. She had a weak heart and didn't make it through the emergency.

Just looked through Flynn's photographs and he's such a dear looking dog.

Was he breed by the Hyde's from Blackwood? Don't know them personally but have spoken to them a couple of times on the phone.

He was indeed, Tafia! And when I was first looking into adopting him, Alison of HWAR (I think....) told me that the Hyde's dogs were renowned for excellent temperment, and that fits Flynn to a T! I've had people questioning his true terrier origins, as he is such a sweetie!!!!!!The Hydes' have been fantastic and supportive. You'll see some piccies of when Jonathan taught me to strip his coat in the breed standard thread, I think.

Ahh! Well then, even though Flynn's Irish he can claim Wales as his birthright!

First time I took Davey back to his breeders we drove up in the van and as soon as he got out one dog started making a real ruccus; it was his dam. He didn't recognise her but she sure as hell knew this was one of her pups, made me cry a little! Of course he was still a pup at the time, next time we saw her Davey was about a year old and she wouldn't have given a fig for him.

Awww bless him! Poor Davey! We were over near Rhyl for bank holiday w/e and one of the fellas I met at the RC flying field loved Flynn. Nicknamed him Taffy Pad! (I like that version better than Taffy Paddy or Paddy Taff!).
