Personally I think anyone who keeps a dog AND maintains a cream coloured carpet deserves the Victoria Cross for bravery. Having children and a small dog, I favour speckly carpets in tones of bark chippings and pond slime. But even that can't disguise the dirt they all bring in! So I'm becoming a bit sceptical. In fact, I'm starting to suspect Janet probably attaches sticky pads to Gems feet while she's indoors so she can pick up crumbs as she trots around! Janet, you stand accused of this heinous crime. How do you plead?

Total Gas Bag! Posts: 2,557 Group: Full Members Member #260 Joined: July 10, 2006	I hoover about every 2 days :) There are only the two of us now and Gem of course so the place doesn't realy get dirty. We do take our shoes off at the door and Gem goes in the utility sink if she gets muddy on a walk :rolleyes:

Johnny adores Widget and I'm sure that when Widge is long gone, he'll look back with some very fond memories of all the high jinx they got up to. I've noticed Widge treats 'litle people' much more carefully than grown ups too.

Total Gas Bag! Posts: 2,557 Group: Full Members Member #260 Joined: July 10, 2006	Cairns are great companions for children :) They are so full of energy, playful and affectionate. Gem is extra gentle with young kids which is a great relief having 3 grandchildren staying from time to time. I know I can trust her 100%.
