How many of you have done the scheme? I did the Bronze with Duncan - that was as far as I took him - never even started with Daisy

Hmmmm.... Holly would pass all of them on the Bronze except 9 - getting her to leave me for any period of time would prove pretty much impossible  Yoyo would pass 1,9 and 10  Not good considering I'm responsible for 1 and 10  |

The leave is I think what worries most folks - seemed a very very long 1 minute but he was absolutely perfect :smug: |

No, the leave would be ok as that is done with the lead on - if she's got her lead on she won't move anywhere
 Number 9 is the recall, in order for me to recall her she has to go away first  When we go away in the motorhome we leave Holly outside during the day with her lead on without attaching her to anything, she seems to automatically think you've got hold of the other end  |

Think Peggy might pass bronze - but would entirely depend on her frame of mind at the time  We've only jusy managed to get her to sit/stay for agility - and at the most she stays about 10 secs - but then I am walking away all the time - so if i'm stood still at 5 paces - maybe she'd do it....then again - maybe not ... :D |

Archie passed his bronze and we are currently heading for silver. I was soo nervous when we did the bronze, but he came through fine. I really enjoy going for the social side too! |

Poppy has done bronze and silver and we are working towards the gold, if she can bear to be out of my sight for 30 seconds :hyper: that is :crossedfingers: Done puppy classes with little Meg and we are working towards her bronze for after christmas :phew: Also its a great way of socilizing for both the dogs and us owners :ok: |

Well done Poppy! do you have to do a sit stay and leave the room for the gold? I just can't see Archie doing that one! |

Helen, it's a 2 minute stay either sitting or down, and 30 seconds of that is out of sight and we need all the :help: we can get. Poppy likes mum in sight or her concentration wanders and so does she    |

It's a shame you can't hide behind a door with a glass window - but then again, not really out of sight I suppose! Did you have any sticking points on the silver? |

 when doing the silver the 2 minutes was a long time to stay in one place but we use to practice in the garden and gradually increase the time. It's easier when your on your own there is not the added distraction of the other dogs in the hall. I'm sure Archie will do fine :ok: Good Luck |

Fred has his silver - the dogs I saw doing Gold were not doing a sit stay, but had their leads attached to a fence while the owners went around the corner. The object seemed to be that the dogs didn't go bonkers at being left alone - although with all the other dogs and their owners sitting there they weren't really alone! I am hoping to go for Fred's Gold next April. I am not in a KC club, so there is a dog warden in the next town who runs test days twice a year. |
