OK I'm biased but very pleased a more "unkempt" BT took first place :D That's the joy of Discover Dogs, seeing well trained and even more important well socialised dogs that you can see and really get to quiz their very informative enthusiastic owners. |

Don't know if there's a connection, but in this years Cairn year book, Brenda Shannon calls specifically for people to stop over neatening the coats. I think part of the problem is breeders are loathe to wait the three or four months it takes to allow the coat to come through naturally and they see having to wait as potentially missing out on a few extra CCs. Widget's recent 'hairdo' makes him look a bit shorn, but then we're working towards sending him out at the end of May; and if he doesn't look right by then, he'll simply be listed as an absentee. I can see it must be frustrating, particularly if your dog just happens to have slow growing hair. But seeing Cairns so tidy they looked clipped reminds me somehow of the way mums of primary school kids over-trim fringes the day before the school photo! |

Was anyone on the TV? Did you see anyone you knew on the TV? I normally spot a few DP coats/t-shirts but haven't seen any this year. |

Ooh that will be something to look forward to Laura! I wanted the blood hound to win... but the tibetan was lovely! What was that brown thing in the toy class called, looked like a border who had run into a wall  It looked like an old man with a handlebar moustache, it really made me laugh :D |
