What a good girl :D Does the season finish at the end of Feb? I can never remember. Certainly still seeing lots of them in the woods!

She looks as if she doesn't know what all the fuss is about in the last one.

Don't think Dudley would pick up as bird that big as he knows not to touch chickens, dead or alive, so would probably think it's a huge chicken.

Well done Breeze :yay:

Have you tried them with russet apples cut in half and put in the roasting tray & brandy poured over the lot? Rather nice - although these days I'm lazy & just cut out the breast meat & do a stir fry or a slow-cooked casserole

Thanks. :)

Im not overstruck on Pheasant meat RJL, although the breast meat in a casserole sounds quite tasty!

The season officially ended at midnight last night, so 8hrs late and at the direct request of the farmer, we agreed to help him. For the second year running somebody has dumped around 100/120 cock birds on his land, right at the end of the season. His crops are threatened and the birds in a strange area are everywhere!! 2 dead on the lane this morning, and a lot playing "chicken" Amazing though, get a gun out and they dissappear! -_- <_<

Ah, no wonder there was so much shooting going on in the woods last weekend! Is that a common problem that people dump birds like that? I imagine its some dodgy gamekeeper that wanted rid. Hope they don't become a problem for the farmer!

I havent known it before Claire, not till last year, if they cant care for the birds properly and manage their numbers, they shouldnt breed them.
