The Visit Wales has now got a 'walk finder' section which has come up with loads of walks in my area Visit Wales Walk Finder

It gives you the start location for the walk, but to view the routes you'll need a subscription to the Walking World website. But they have so many walks to look at I think I might subscribe this weekend - and the Visit Wales site gives you a voucher code for money off ;)

Just had a Walking World newsletter emailed to me - some might find this interesting - walking supplement in tomorrow's The Guardian.

NEWS FROM WALKINGWORLD
www.walkingworld.com

50 Great Walks for free in this Saturday's Guardian
Once more we have worked with The Guardian on a fantastic little supplement with 50 great walks from the website. You can get the booklet free with this Saturday's Guardian (June 2nd). If you are not already a Walkingworld subscriber this is your chance to download some walks near you to try out. Just log in to the site and find the walks featured in the supplement - you can click through to get all the details for each walk for free.

This year, as before, the walks are divided into ten categories. For each of the categories there's a background article by one of the Guardian's acclaimed writers. This year's categories include Architecture, Food, Great Views, Coast, History and Family Walks, plus, for the more adventurous, Extreme walks. We have tried to get a good spread around the country, so you should be able to find something near you.

And another 13 city walks in Sunday's Observer
New for this year is a second supplement in the following day's Observer (June 3rd). The walks centre on Britain's cities, with walks in Nottingham, Brighton, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and more. Here you'll find a route description although the download from the Walkingworld website isn't free - you will need to be a subscriber or buy the walk individually to access the full details and the Ordnance Survey map. Some of these routes have been recorded specially for the Observer feature, so if you haven't checked the site for a local city walk recently it is worth having a new look.

Happy walking!
