Yes, he's a cutie - when we picked him up from the breeder she called him a "fine specimen" - no sentimentality at all!! Hamish is the Gaelic from of James - I wanted to give the kids Scottish names (I'm Scottish) but they sounded too foreign to my English hubby so I had to wait till we got a dog to indulge myself! :rolleyes: |

With a name like Gwen(nie), I was thinking you must be another girl from the valleys like Tafia! I've got things wrong so often this week I'm looking forward to Sunday so I can make a fresh start. Hamish is gorgeous. Borders were next on the list if we hadn't got a Cairn, so I'm lucky to be able to see so many lovely ones on this site. |

Hi guys, thanks for your nice comments about Hamish. It's just as well he's cute cos he can be very cheeky! As I'm typing this, he's caught his usual, late night scent of something outside (mouse or fox or cat) & is running back & forth like a nutter, growling & barking. He's getting better at responding to the "Quiet!" command but will wake the neighbourhood if I let him out now. ;) Laura, I'm from Glasgow but have been down here in London for a very long time (too long!!) Looking forward to learning from you all & enjoying your pooches via photos :) |
