With a bit of luck

Left it too late been on and off WW since xmas but found it difficult. When I have got my right head on I do great with WW :)

Only had a few pounds to lose anyway so not too bad. It has been two steps forward and two back since the new year. Had a panic the other day though so decided to take drastic action. Don't really believe in fad diets but suppose for a couple of weeks won't do any harm. Got a lovely dress to wear on the day of my sons wedding but thought it would look even nicer with half a stone off. lost about 4 in the last couple of months and if I can be discaplined might get another couple off before I go. The trouble is we fly wednesday but the wedding not till bank holiday monday so will have ate and drank a lot by then  If all else fails have got my magic knicks from Marks and Spencer

Oooh - let me bring you into my world of Coffee Towers.........

Round choux pastry, filled with lightly flavoured coffee whipped cream, coffee icing drizzled over the top and finished with another dollop of coffee cream with a chocolate disc balanced precariously to finish it off.

Must be eaten with a spoon - no reason other than that's what you do!!!!!!!!!

Cheesecake's good too.....!!

Oh yeah??!!!! Can you remember the name of it???

I remember the Registrar General came to a reception in Perth once and when I was introduced to him (it was a works do) he said "Ah yes, Blairgowrie - the toilet stop on the way to the skiing"

Didn't think it was THAT much of a dive..........

Can't remember now, if I heard it I would know it :) all I know it was on the road side and we walked downhill to the town to find somewhere to eat. Found a lovely Italian restaurant but soon became dissapointed when they said they had no tables(well it was a saturday night) Found a pub round the corner from it and ate there but we weren't too impressed with the food. Tasted like it had come out of a tin and when the waitress came to ask if everything was ok we told her so. she then brought out the chef so we told him what we thought too  well no point telling lies was there they asked so we told them! It seems to be every where you eat these days they do this. We were having a meal last sunday and three different people came and asked us if it was ok. I felt like saying "well it will be if we are given some peace to actualy eat it"

that's a bit harsh janet! I bet the poor chef didn't know where to put himself!! what did he say?
I think you should take over from gordon ramsay on kitchen nightmares.
"this :x: soup tastes like its come out of a :x: tin, you :x: :x: " - janet in a quiet country pub on a sunday afternoon.

Well, in all fairness, if it's the pub I'm thinking of, it DID probably come out of a tin!! You threw me briefly as I'm thinking "Italian restaurant - WHAT Italian restaurant??!!" Then I remembered The Pizza Place which was opened last summer by Helen, who is as Irish as Paddy's goat!!
It's a shame you didn't walk a bit further around the corner as, just opposite the river, is a little restaurant called "Cargills" which is excellent!! Ah well, there's always next time (AND I can show you some good walks 8)

................anyway back on Topic

My hubby informs me that when he was working in Copenhagen a couple of years ago Dogs carried in a bag travelled free on the metro where as the ones on foot had to be paid for. So you see having a dog in a bag does have advantages. Well if you live in Denmark it does

This is why we cant let women in power no more, remove the right to vote n drive too while we are at it. Just like my misses, you get into a debate just as your going to cure the worlds ills someone brings up chocolate, cake or fancy food and you lot fall to pieces muwhahahahaaaaa!!!!!!! Africa in trouble you say, Iraq what, Korea want to do what, OH dear pass me another bun - what was you saying - yes dear the Icing is to die for!!!!

And violent, now this goes to the next level in meetings where a few women eye up the last of the cakes - its like gun fighters at dawn. I don’t know who to watch at School Fates and Dog Shows - the Cake Isle or the Event! I also like the floaters in Tesco cake isle ie hanging in the background oh I shouldnt, no I shouldnt then they dive in, stike with the precision of Bruce Lee and run off with a big sticky cream bun!

You lot are all mad as hatters! Whilst eating cake in a serine manner inside your heads you lot are like a load af terriers Zooming around screaming CAAAAKE - CAAAAAAKEY and when you find one you duck your heads clean into it - Slam!

I don’t mind a bit of cake or chocolate say after dinner. But its nigh on impossible to put a bit of cake or chocolate in the fridge and say I’ll have that later, then you forget, go to work and think yum I’ll have it when I come home – like hell you will, the wife has long cracked by then and she’s munched it!

Right I’m off to tesco and as I’m there I’m going to get me a full on cake and good luck on tracking me down – its all mine MINE! Now no shooting the messenger ladies - I'm only being honest!

PS oh the debate – dogs, accessories, handbags errrr no. Not for me, but as long as owner and dog are happy then go for it. I will be drawn to say they have their use. Best example is our Claire who cant seem to find mountains high enough to climb at the moment – you walk up there on bad days and it would be wise to place a Jacket on the dog. Also Tafia got a point, stripped dogs in winter that are used to a heated home, again very valid. But if your happy and it gets you closer to your doggy then that cant be bad.
