There was an artical on the news about identity fraud a couple of weeks back warning people about putting too much information about themselves on web sites such as My Space and Facebook. It said not to give birth dates and town you were born in because fraudsters could look up birth records and find mothers maiden name etc so they could access your bank account and apply for credit cards etc in your name.

Moderator Posts: 22,620 Group: Moderators Member #48 Joined: February 5, 2005	I'm still finding my way round and doubt I'll ever get fully drawn in but a word of warning too - more and more companies are checking sites like Facebook/MySpace/Bebo etc for job applicants.Word is some people have had applications ignored because of what they have posted (and what photos they post) on these sites.
