I'm sorry if this is a stupid question and it's easily answered  (I have tried to look in various different pages) but what is the rehoming policy if I found a dog I wanted to rehome in the "Dogs Looking for homes" pages?

:thanks:

Moved this here until JRT/Laura can see it.There are legal implications when you find a dog - I assume you have gone into all these?
Contacted the Dog Warden and Police to report it as being found
You have had the dog for 28 days before rehoming?

Please please have a look at DogLost to see if the dog has been reported missing - you can do a search by breed - I would cover all areas as stolen dogs get moved all over the country sadly.

I may well have read this differently to Lynne...

I think you mean you have seen a dog on Dogs needing homes, that you'd like to give a home to. But Lynne thinks you've found a dog on the street and want to keep it. So I'll answer properly when I know which one it is

 Sorry I didn't make myself clear, I did actually mean if I saw a dog on this website what would I need to do if I wished to rehome it?

But if I did ever find a dog on the street I'd now know what to do - thank you zandd and I'm sorry if I confused you.

Jules

p.s. sorry I posted it in the wrong place initially, I'm not having a very good day  !!!

   Don't worry!

If you see a dog you'd like to rehome, you need to contact the person who posted the message, using either the phone number listed, the PM button or the E-Mail button. Then you just take it from there! And if it all goes well, don't forget to post pictures :D
