Today My Boy Became A Man!; Well, a dog anyway...

Admin Posts: 11,786 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: November 30, 2004	Yoyo can now call himself a Terrier, with pride :smug: After seven years of trying his hardest - he finally did it :yay: Caught and killed a rabbit :rolleyes: :lol: It was quite fascinating to watch actually. Holly caught one once, but it didn't run very fast and she didn't kill it straight away :( However, I watched Yoyo chase a HUGE rabbit through the dunes and across the beach (I tried to call him back but quickly gave up :rolleyes: ) Then he pounced on it when it changed direction, he was quick on the mark! A quick shake of the head and it was a goner. He brought it over to me, proud as punch bless him :wub: :sick: No blood, no fur, just a great big floppy bunny. He wouldn't let it go and tried to bury it in the sand with it still in his gob :rolleyes: :lol: I eventually got close enough to him to clip his lead on. He let go and we walked on up the beach with him walking backwards, crying :rolleyes: :lol: Here he is with his prize (it was nearly as big as him!): Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Her only catch was a half dead rabbit that was dying from Mixi and even then she didnt kill it - just kept picking it up and nudging it with her nose. Barked like merry hell to get me to come over and see what she'd done though :rolleyes: I'd love to work her but no idea where to start!

One of the regulars Posts: 389 Group: Full Members Member #379 Joined: December 21, 2006	Bravo :yay: Our previous dog Diesel caught a few of these pesky rabbits, have to wait and see if Paddy will get one, bearing in mind he chased a deer round our garden 40 times and managed to nip it on the leg as it proceeded to jump over our fence.
