New site Stitchapet will make patterns from photos supplied to them - and all profit goes to Hope Rescue.

Had a phase of cross stitching once apon a time but it is very time consuming and takes a lot of patience so with me it fizzled out after a few weeks. The problem was I did a couple of smallish ones and I was really pleased with myself so I decided too take something on more challenging which was a collie and her pups (lassie type) can't think of the breed just now as I have had half a bottle of wine and I went wrong somewhere with my counting. Couldn't be bothered unpicking it all so it got shoved in the back of a cuboard and that was the end of my cross stitching!

Oh I love doing cross stitch! Something about the pedantic nature of the exercise which appeals greatly to me. ;)

Only problem is I get satisfaction from huge, time consuming cross stitch projects and these days I just don't have the hours (or the eye sight) to begin anything, never mind finish!

Good sight though, bookmarked it just in case.

The last thing that I cross stiched was a celtic design which I have framed in my dining room.
Took me ages as it was a small pattern, I also did a Winnie The Pooh design for my daughter's nursery when she was a baby.

I am very tempted to maybe do a design of Paddy but only if I get time as I am in the process of studying a computer course at home and starting full time work in a weeks time!!

Same here - I was into it for a few years when I had a boring customer services job where I sat most of the day with nothing to do - so I used to take my cross stitch to work and do it there! I did quite a few years ago and even did a christening one for my aunty once. Then I started a biggie with a big dragon and a castle....needless to say when the job changed the cross stitch stopped and my poor dragon was never finished :(

Might inspire me to get it all out of the garage and give it a go again though!
