Terrier Talk Is Changing!; Server upgrade

Admin Posts: 11,786 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: November 30, 2004	Invisionfree (who host the board) are changing their boards to Zetaboards. You can opt in or out of the change, I've opted us in. I'm praying it all goes smoothly without any hiccups, but you just never know with these things! When the changeover is complete, the board will go offline. When I turn the board back on it will all look a bit different but will operate basically the same way. It will take a wee bit of getting used to, but here's what we can look forward to. Some will make sense, some is more "adminny" type stuff :D New Features -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Collapsable categories. Color key for online user list. Topic/Post search. Advanced Account Security page. New PM system which groups back and forth messages into a single PM conversation. New style for PM pop-up. Markers for topics that you have posted in. Online status of a user is listed in their posts and profile. View a single post page. A topic starter can edit topic title if the post can be edited. List of all posts made by a member. Name history for a member. Ignore posts by a member. Enhanced avatar gallery. New bbcode tags: indent, spoiler, text border color, and text background color. Improved support for embedding videos from YouTube. New Features (may be turned off or not used by the board admin) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Joinable groups Blogs Custom profile fields Enhanced portal Theme (Skin) selector Easy system to request a name change There are also usability, performance, and cosmetic improvements throughout the board. :phew:
