It is really nice ;) They have had it about 2 years and really turned it around! They have people coming in just because they know there dogs will be welcome, the lurchers in the pictures are Dad's  once a gypo always a gypo  I love the picture of Charlie (spotty belly) sharing his sofa with the child, both crashed out asleep.

This is the website that is connected to the Winalot website as we have used this as a recommendation tool for years! It should be more popoular than it is and Millie is a wonderful lady who runs it.

Ahh, dogs allowed on buses, into pubs, sounds like a veritable canine utopia!

Only once did I experience such laissez faire thinking here.....I had my Welsh Terrier tied outside a bakery....while inside a French Canadian lady looked out & asked "what's that dog doing outside, it's cold & wet!"

She's mine I said don't want to break the law now! She drew herself up & demanded I bring her in......"what if an officer catches us, there's a large fine!" "you let me worry about that" she said......a that point a Daschund peeked at us around the food cases!

The person serving the counter smiled & told me that the local deputies don't bother the owner any more...."she's a little strong willed" They tried to enforce the bylaw when her dog was found in the bakery, then decided to beat a hasty retreat with some dignity still intact, apparently! Formidable lady!

I brought Maya inside as instructed :ok:

It does vary a lot here, there are some towns which are very dog friendly,Bridport in Dorset is one that always impresses me.Most shops have a water bowl outside, a lot of them don't mind a well behaved dog inside.I found a huge place selling bedlinens and popped my head round the door to ask if I could bring them in and they were very welcoming.

The most dog friendly place I know of is France. Dogs seem to be allowed everywhere, shops, department stores, restaurants - even sitting at tables in some cases!

Only draw back is the streets of Paris, unlike London which is paved with Gold, are actually paved with dog s**t.

Yes, I've heard that stooping & scooping isn't their strong suit ;)
That and smoking in public places is still allowed.... (c'est la vie, I suppose!)
