Buffy and I had not only our first clear round in a Championship class this weekend, but we had a double clear and would have been in the final. We would have come 2nd in the agility and with the combined scores would have run last in the final!

I say would have because some :x: decided to complain that not all the pieces of equipment were in the class and so the whole thing had to be re-run. I unfortunately got myself so worked up that we couldn't possibly repeat our clear rounds that we got eliminated in the jumping round :(

Still I now know that Buffy and I can go clear in the Champ classes and we do deserve to be there. I can honestly say that we had the best agility round we have ever done and I'm so pleased with her....... even if it didn't count.

Oh Tracy - thats just awful (in the sense of someone complaining and you having to go again!!!!). I don't think I would ever go clear a second time on anything i've run!

But :yay: to you and Buffy. To get a double clear is brill!!! And in this weather too - she must be really mad for it

Peggy was booked in for Tunbridge show this weekend but I decided not to go as its was really hot and sticky so didn't seem a lot of point, based on her past few weeks  Took her up the forest instead then she lay in the garden and sunbathed with me all day while I worked hard

I heard all about that Tracy, what a :x: to complain after the whole thing had practically finished and not when walking the course as they should have done. Let's hope they got eliminated again and didn't get in the final.

I knew you and Buffy deserved to be in champ classes and bloody well done on getting into the final even though it wasn't run.

Well done to the pair of you! As Halfpint said in this heat that must be quite exceptional.

Dreadful old busybody, I hope they didn't score any higher on the rerun than they did on the first one.

There should be a rule (like at a wedding!) - bring up any issues before the competiton starts otherwise keep quiet.

But a big WELL DONE - that must be a very big personal achievement! I'm sure you'll get another opportunity to go clear again :flower:

Apparently the person that complained wasn't a competitor....

That makes it worse, they must have had a vested interest though or why bother.

Well done Buffy, and what a fiasco, not sure why someone who wasn't competing complained - nor why their complain was taken so seriously?

There are rules laid down by the Kennel Club that says that all elements (tyre, weaves, long jump etc) have to be in the the Champ classes, unless the weather is so bad that it would make it unsafe.

The judge said that in the morning when he was setting his course out that the weather forecast was for thunder and isolated heavy showers so he decided not to put some pieces in for safety reasons. The weather wasn't as predicted and therefore the judge had no reason not to include all elements....

No-one in the class wanted to run it all over again but the complaint would have gone to the Kennel Club. Whoever would have won the final would have had the Champ ticket taken from them as the class wasn't run under the KC rules, which wouldn't have been fair either.

At the end of the day Buffy had fantastic runs that day and I'm so proud of her, I don't need a rosette to tell me how great she is.
