more bad news for pip

Chatterbox Posts: 546 Group: Full Members Member #91 Joined: June 6, 2005	his heart is deteriorating and the vet is now trying different tablets, but his heart beat is erratic, some times fast sometimes slow, occasionally missing a beat, then adding extra beats. vet has now said that this is his last chance. He wants him back in 2 weeks to monitor him and take more bloods as he thinks that he may also have underactive thyroid. Time is gradually running out for him. After his attack by Meg he also has infection in his numerous wounds so is on antibiotics too. I have to bathe his ear wound twice a day and remove any scab formed to allow pus to drain from it. Pip is feeling very sorry for himself, and wants lots of hugs, which of course i am happy to give. also the odd forbidden treat.

Poor Pip, as if his health problems weren't enough he gets pounced on too. I really hope this very endearing little man gets every possible creature comfort in the coming weeks and I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.

He is very depressed and sorry for himself unless on a short walk. Very cuddly and wanting reassurance. My mind is very confused, my heart says hang on to him for as long as you can he is not in pain. Although my head says it is time to let go for his sake. Just when i think i have made a decision he rallies and i chicken out. at the moment he is climbing the sofa to settle on a blanket, (only just been allowed this privilege) and seems very smug and self satisfied with himself as he looks down on meg. tafia - Pips bite injuries are now all healed.
