I have been looking at Magnetic Dog Collars for my mum's 14 year old Yorkie who has Arthirtis and is really slowing down and getting stiff, she gets Corta-vet Spray on her dinner which contains Glucosamine and Chondroitin which have helped a lot, but just looking to see if there is anything else to help the old girl out. And thought a magnetic collar would be a good x-mas gift.

There seem to be many different ones about, varying in price, number of magnets etc. (too much choice! ) just wondering if anyone knew anything magnetic collars or wraps and if so which one would be best.

Here are some of been looking at:

Magno-Pulse

Horse and Pet Supplies

Dogs Online

Magnecare

Magnet Healing

I looked at these for Zico - another elderly Yorkie  but like you became confused at the choice and never actually got him one. What I can highly recommend is green-lipped muscle supplement which I gave him daily and he never had a touch of arthritis.Link thing..I bought mine from Holland and Barrett, capsule and just opened the capsule onto his food.Won't do any harm and may well do a lot of good.

Thanks Zannd, will get some Green lipped Muscle capsules, as you say can't do any harm so definitely worth a try. It should be fine to give to her at the same time as the Corta-vet Spray.

Would still be interested in getting her a magnetic collar as well though, as she has gotten stiffer and stiffer and now a lot of the time lies on the floor as too much trouble/ too sore to get up and down from the couch. :(

Just want to make sure she has all the help we can give her as she's given us so much over the last 14 years. And being a Yorkie :crossedfingers: has many more years to go still. :)

I have ended getting Brandy's collar from 'Magnet Healing' it was the most expensive in the end at £35 :yikes: but will be worth every penny if it helps her.

I will post and let people know if my mum see any difference in her. :crossedfingers:

I got one for my Buster when he has quite a few problems in the end. It didn't help him and I was going to take advantage of the money back guarentee but I lost the dam receipts! Typically I found them again once the time limit was passed. It was the only reason I bought it - that guarentee, so see if you can find the same thing somewhere. I was at a dog show when I bought mine.
