has any one used one of these citronella spray collars? The lady next door has commented on quite a few occasions that George barks for 30 minutes when I leave the house on an early, so thats from 630am-7am, which can;t be very nice for her. Problem is he only does it at this time when I've left the house. i leave a treat ball and kong and bones and stuff to keep him occupied and he's fine the rest of the time except for this 30 mis, she is convinced he has a stopwatch because is it literally exactly 30 minutes. I've been thinking about a spray collar because he never and I mean never barks when I'm in the house or at any other time so its going to be very difficult to correct the behaviour using other techniques. Has anyone used one and how did it go?? |

I have a friend who uses one on her westie as he barks when he is in the garden, it works a treat on him, he has been wearing one for a couple of years, the only problem is that another dog can set it off if they bark close to the collar. |

I used one years ago (before I knew other techniques) on my Buster who made a noise constantly. He just put up with it and carried on making a noise. To my eternal shame we never tried to deal with the underlying problem, only the symptoms so it was never cured. We just stopped leaving him alone. |
