Getting Rascal Stripped; Am I Mean Doing It In This Weather?

Rascal is due to get stripped, and to be honest does really need it, but it is so cold :shiver: at the moment I feel very very mean doing it.

He was neutered in late November and I want to keep on top of his coat so hopefully it will continue to be able to be stripped and not go soft and be sore to strip.

I have just ordered him a Equafleece Tankie Top, which is a vest like top and he can wear it every day and it won't restrict him doing anything, but I am just hesitating picking up the phone to book him in the Groomers as snow still on the ground here.

He'll be fine with a equafleece on. Is he having a green one, be beautiful with his coat! After all, he's not getting stripped right down to the skin!

Thanks Tafia, :flower: will book him in tommorrow, was just worried I was being evil.

I couldn't decide what colour top to get him  and was thinking of getting the Pine Green but went with the Cobalt Blue, I'm sure he'll carry it off OK. ;) :D

I know how you feel. A couple of winters I've had to strip Davey right down, not just a tidy up but completely take the old coat right off. I can't tell you how wicked I felt .... thankfully neither winter was particularly cold and his coat grows back really quickly!

I tend to roll Archie's coat - and with all the allergy baths he gets it does end up pretty thin. If its freezing he is very comfortable in his tankie - even had to take it off him on one windswept mountain walk as he was panting in the snow

When can we see a photo of the Blue Rascal :D

Every time I stripped Logie the weather used to turn nasty  Even if it had been warm up to then - poor thing!

Don't worry - he'll be so smug prancing round with his new hairdo he'll forget about the cold if he's a proper Irish
