History: Owned by a young lady from 4 weeks old and was left 10 hours a day whilst she worked. Repossession of property.

Salient points: Full history. Always loved. Good with people. Always had to cope with being left long periods and never had the disposition to cope. Needs companionship.

Advert: Mia is a small little Staffie Black/brindle with white features. She is very sweet natured and out of kilter in rescue, but settling within the routine and expectations. She is very pretty and has always been adored. She would like to be an only pet with a family who can offer her companionship and lovely walks.

Mia loves a run with her ball and enjoys pottering around the garden. She will chase a cat but can be distracted with her ball or by calling her to 'come'. Such a good girl by nature .. a cherished dog who has to come to terms with losing her home at the age of 5 yrs with hopefully another 10 yrs ahead to look forward to .. well she will once she meets her new family. Mia is spayed, vacc'd and chipped. Currently kennelled in Whitehill, Hants.

"Please note that this dog is currently in kennels and is also available for foster until a 'forever' home is found".

An update from our forum today on Mia:

Oh Mia Oh Mia wasn't prepared for our meeting today. First out of the kennels she came and we were taken by a storm. She was running and playing and tossing her toys and carrying and chasing her tail and then finding and ..

no we didn't get a good head shot but her character is written all over these photos. She is high energy object focused; and she will stop and look at you and oh she tells you all about it!

Mia breaks my heart..she has always needed company; the one thing she has never had is companionship. She was left on her own for long torturous hours. Her next owners will love her, like her original owner did, but we guarantee they will have time to give her the most precious thing she desires: Then her toys and 'chasing her tail' will become less dominant features.

She is small; very pretty and a very very lovely being.

An update from Lynne who walked/visited Mia …

Quote:

Looking for Mia I called her name where are you .. then I turned and she is there wagging her tail furiously 'over here you fool'! As I opened her kennel she flies into my arms and licks my face with intensity..oh Mia you are such a wonderful cuddle. I squeeze her, lift her off the ground and say lets go. She then focuses on the walk and speds off ahead leading and following her nose. Trying to get her to take treats on the walk wasn't easy initially, but she soons began to understand and occasionally obliged me, exchanging smiles and then off she went. Approaching the kennels she went sad ... don't worry Mia, surely you have nearly finished your sentence.
