Hello! Firstly, I'd like to thank zandd for mentioning this place often enough that it stuck in my mind when I needed somewhere to talk terriers ;) :ok: Secondly, I'm slightly bemused to find myself needing to be here! I'm a self-confessed Big Dog person and am usually owned by an American Bulldog and a chocolate Labrador. However, Prince Hugo has arrived with us on a rather sad wave because he needed us and so here we are. Prince Hugo is a 4 month old JRT who is the size of a 6 week old pup. He landed at Lizzies Barn Sanctuary (run by my lovely friend, Fionna) and a rather loud heart murmur was quickly detected but the usual vet who deals with Barn dogs is no heart specialist and so Fionna brought him to Bristol to see the cardiologist at our usual surgery. Sadly, the news has come back that Hugo has 5 major heart defects and is expected to live no more than another 6 months  My beautiful 10 year old daughter, Sophie, spoke up and asked if she could be his foster mum and so Prince Hugo has arrived to have 15 years worth of life and love crammed into his next few months  I don't suppose anyone would like to see photos would they? :ermm: Well I'll post them anyway :P Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image |

:welcome: :yippee: :yippee: Hi Sarah :D I adore Hugo,I was watching him and his adorable gran Rosie as well before he came to you and his diagnosis was made :( I think Sophie is so so brave to take on his care not knowing his prognosis - but Terriers are tough little dogs and :crossedfingers: he'll surprise everyone with his tenacity.I see Bran has decided he's not going to accept this tiny interloper coming into his world  |

To be fair, Hugo hasn't really given Bran a chance to reject him  He just stands in front of him yapping and bouncing until Bran gives up and plays with him  |
