Good thoughts needed for Hettie

Chatterbox Posts: 1,097 Group: Full Members Member #126 Joined: October 17, 2005	Hettie has got to go to the vets tomorrow to have mammory tumours removed it looks as though they will do a mammary strip.Only noticed the lump on Saturday and it is only small but the vet seems to think that she may have more than one. :no:. This is the 3rd lot of mammary tomours that she has had and thankfully the others were benign so just hoping that these are the same. She has also got very itchy feet and yeasty armpits :yikes: so she is on anti-histamines and malaseb baths to see if we can sort the problem. It's only started since we've been walking the fields so it may be an allergy. So my little girl :wub: is booked in for her operation tomorrow at 10am just hope that things go well for her :pray:

The vet nurse whi is looking after her is fabulous though so I know she will be okay. Thank you for your good thoughts and I will update later when she's home. :)

Chatterbox Posts: 1,097 Group: Full Members Member #126 Joined: October 17, 2005	Got back from the vets about 7 and have just settled her in. Jade just doing her something to eat. She has got a large wound, cut from 1 end of her tummy to the other and she has got 2 drains in that I have got to clean around :yikes: , not looking forward to that.She has also got a lampshade on that is freaking her out but I daren't leave it off as she has already tried to lick her tummy before we put it on. There was 1 lump but the other mammary tissue was cut away as it was thick and the vet wasn't sure whether there was lumps or seeds in it so took it out as a precaution.She has got to go back in 2 days for a check up then 2 days after that to have the drains removed and then 14 days from today to have her stitches out. So at the moment my little girl is miserable and really doesn't know what to do with herself :( I just wish she could understand that it was for her own good. I know that she will be fine and if I do have any worries are vets are really good. Thank you all for your good wishes I really appreciate them. :flower:
