Chatterbox Posts: 1,099 Group: Full Members Member #126 Joined: October 17, 2005	Just back from the check up at the vets and Hettie has got to stay in again :no: they are draining off the fluid that has built up and hopefully she will be home after lunchtime. Poor Het she really doesn't know what is happening to her. :( Hopefully after today she will hopefully be on the road to recovery. :crossedfingers:

Chatterbox Posts: 1,099 Group: Full Members Member #126 Joined: October 17, 2005	Well she's come back a different dog :woohoo: They drained off 30ml of fluid from her tummy and there is still more but they won't drain it all off because it is more likely to fill up again if they drain it all. She has been playing this afternoon and this is the first time since the op.So she took her time but it looks as though she is finally getting over it :phew: :yes:

Chatterbox Posts: 1,099 Group: Full Members Member #126 Joined: October 17, 2005	Back to the vets again today to have yet more fluid drained from her tummy.They took off more than last time and hopefully that should be it if not I have just got to keep taking her in to have it drained. Not overly worried though as she seems ok in herself. Just noticed that she was a bit quiet last night and this morning and that why I decided to ring.The nurse said that it can feel tight when they have fluid and that's probably why she was quiet. That inflatable collar has been an absolute godsend and I'm so glad I got her one. Hopefully won't have to go back to the vets again until Tuesday when she has her stitches out.
