Just confirmed some more volunteers :ok:

Last time a Lakie lady called Chris did some brilliant photos for us, but she doesn't seem to pop up here anymore. I've just had news of a Lakie fun day, so off to start a new thread.

I am sure the judging will go very well - you just have to put up with a steward who keeps waving to friends; hugging the exhibits and laughing at inappropiraite canine behaviour :P That is why they keep me in the kitchen at club shows!!!

:yay: Croston Corn Mill (brilliant shop selling pet food, accessories and a full floor of horsey-stuff AND they make their own dog food) has donated 2 HUGE sacks of Old English Crunchy as prizes.

:flower: Thank you!

Please - anyone in West Lancashire - pay them a visit :)

I've also been told we will be having an auction during the lunch break - and the rosettes are on their way.

:ok: thanks Chris - hope we have a good show of whippets too. I think a little lurcher with 50% Irish terrier genes will be coming as well - can't wait to see him

:yay: More donations...

Thanks to Culpepper for a Ginger Lover's Gift Box and some gingham dog toys

Thanks to Belvoir Fruit Farms for their ginger cordial gift box

(thanks to Dill for keeping me sane  )

I did attempt to get a donation from a retailer (who shall remain nameless) and was met with disdain :( methinks - lovely though the shop is - I won't be setting foot there again! I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman  when she tries to buy some clothes!)

Better news was a call from somoene really helpful who came along last time and has offered to help collect donations and prizes locally and may be running a stall for us too :flower: :yay:

In return - please note that there will be a fantastic 3 Day Town and Country Show at Stanley High School in Soutport at the end of August - with huskies, falconry and lots more. I will put up more details when I have them :yippee: Sounds great!
