Bob is going to the kennels tomorrow, just for 24 hours as we are going to a wedding. I know he is going to be fine, but that doesn't stop me thinking I'm going to be a wreck when I leave him as it's his first time since we adopted him from the shelter. :( The kennels are actually in our village which is great, only 5 mins drive, and they are lovely people. I just hope he thinks we're coming back for him! x |

Thanks guys! I'm sure he'll forget all about it once we pick him up on Sunday! It's a bit of a test for when we go on holiday in September for a week! We're taking his bed and a few of his toys and treats etc, so he should be OK, bless him :pray: x |

From my experiences, it's harder on mum and day! Got a working Cocker here now, when they left I took her in another room so 'she doesn't have to watch you leave' when what I meant was 'don't look in her eyes, it will upset you while she's just thinking about her dinner'. :wave: |

aw, bless you both! as everyone says he'll be fine. By the way, for the chicken ice pops I jsut boiled a chicken to get the stock then pulled the meat into little strips put them in some ice lolly mould then poured the stock over them, put one of those chew stick in it to like a lolly stick, let it cool before putting them in the freezer. they absolutley love them, great when its as hot as it has been and they're really panting when they get back. Well...it was great success. :yay: Felt really bad leaving the little chap on Saturday, but he didn't want to get in the car to come home yesterday! I think he really enjoyed being in close proximity to other dogs! I don't think he slept much as he was exhausted when he got home and has slept ever since! Bless him. My only concern would be leaving him for a week there if he doesn't sleep! Only charged us a tenner for the 2 days too! Meant to be 7 pounds a day! Thanks for the recipe Kerry! Will try it out. x |

Lots of dogs sleep more when been in kennels, just so much to chat about with the other dogs. ;) |
